Hoki

Who we are

The team that took Integrity Software to NASDAQ — reconvened.

Where this started

Paul Carroll and Alex Porter first worked together at Integrity Software, where they were part of the team that acquired and integrated 13 technology companies into a single operating group and took the combined business to NASDAQ in 2000. Paul led the financial, reporting, M&A and US GAAP work required to prepare for the listing; Alex led on the technology and operational integration.

The two decades since have taken them separately across defence, fintech, international development, financial services, manufacturing, and more. Different sectors, different geographies, different roles — but the same discipline and the same directness.

Hoki brings that combination back together. We are not a large firm with a large overhead. We are two experienced principals who have done this work at scale, and who take a selective view of where we engage.

Paul Carroll

Chief Executive Officer & CFO

Paul Carroll — CEO & CFO

Paul leads Hoki as Chief Executive Officer, combining overall business direction with the financial discipline of his CFO background. ACCA-qualified, with C-suite experience across technology, fintech, defence, property development and financial services.

The foundation of his transactional career was laid as CFO of Integrity Software, where he worked alongside Alex on the acquisition and merger of 13 technology companies and led the financial, reporting, M&A and US GAAP work required to prepare the combined business for its NASDAQ launch.

Most recently, Paul was Head of Finance at CurrencyFair. Before that, he was CFO of Theia Group Inc. in Washington DC — a space, satellite and defence venture developing a 112-satellite low-earth-orbit earth-observation constellation. His remit at Theia covered US GAAP reporting, funding strategy, banking relationships, audit readiness, SPAC and hedge fund engagement, financial controls and institutional investor support.

He also served as CEO of Neo Financial Solutions, combining financial control, funding, restructuring and operational leadership in a single role — a model that directly informs his approach at Hoki.

Paul's role at Hoki is to lead the business and provide the financial discipline, transaction experience and steady approach to integration that ensures businesses, their people and their customers are properly supported through any change.
